2026-2027 School Year Calendar Now Available

The Penn-Delco Board of School Directors has approved the 2026-2027 district calendar, adopted at a Special Meeting on December 1. Families and staff can now view and download the calendar on the PDSD website to begin planning ahead.

Key Highlights

• First Day of School - Students begin the 2026–2027 school year on Tuesday, September 8, 2025, the day after Labor Day.
• Election Day Schedule - The Monday before Election Day will operate as a regular school day to help accrue instructional time. Election Day (Tuesday, November 3) will be dedicated to professional development.
• Weather & Flexible Instruction Days - The calendar includes 180 instructional days and meets all state-required instructional hours. Flexible Instructional Days remain an option to minimize makeup days resulting from emergency closures.
• Thanksgiving Break - Schools will be closed on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, providing additional flexibility for conferences, instruction, and holiday preparation. (Twelve-month employees may use personal or vacation time to extend the break.)
• Spring Break - A full-week Spring Break will run March 22–26.
• Last Day of School - The final day for students, Tuesday, June 15, will be an early dismissal day, followed by a half-day in-service for teachers.
