Fifth-Grader Reads Veterans Day Essay at Brookhaven Borough Ceremony
On November 8, fifth-grade student Charlotte Reeder represented her peers and community with pride as she presented her essay, "What a Veteran Means to Me," at the Brookhaven Borough Veteran's Day Ceremony. In her piece, Charlotte reflected on the profound contributions and sacrifices made by veterans, honoring their role in protecting the freedoms we hold dear.
Charlotte was joined at the event by local leaders, including Mayor Denise Leslie and Representative Leanne Krueger, as well as a student from Parkside Elementary who also shared her own reflections on the significance of veterans.
