Coebourn Elementary Steps Up for Breast Cancer Awareness

Coebourn Elementary Steps Up for Breast Cancer Awareness

Although rainy weather kept students indoors, Coebourn Elementary’s school spirit shined bright during its Pink Out Walk in support of breast cancer awareness on October 30.

The event, planned by the Leader in Me - Culture Action Team, was held in honor of Mrs. Maria Potter, Coebourn’s Reading Teacher, whose strength and courage continue to inspire the school community. Students and staff showed their support by wearing pink and participating in a mini walkathon to benefit Unite for Her, an organization that provides resources and wellness programs for individuals navigating breast cancer.

Adding to the excitement, the Brookhaven Police Department generously provided rally towels for students to wave proudly throughout the event.

Despite the change in plans, the day was filled with positive energy and heartfelt support, reminding everyone that even a little rain can’t dampen Coebourn’s spirit.
