Coebourn Elementary Hosts Veterans Day Assembly
On November 11, Coebourn Elementary School held a special Veterans Day program to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. The event, titled "A Salute to Our Veterans," brought together students, staff, veterans, and families for a meaningful morning of gratitude and reflection.
The program began with a warm welcome to our veteran guests, followed by the presentation of the American flag by kindergarten student Caroline Chuplis and her grandfather, Victor Chuplis, a proud veteran. Ella Tutlo led the school in the Pledge of Allegiance, and the Coebourn chorus performed the National Anthem.
Student leaders shared heartfelt messages about the significance of Veterans Day, reminding us all of the sacrifices made by our military personnel. Mr. Martinez honored our veterans with a small gift as a token of appreciation, and Ms. O'Kane closed the assembly with a beautiful performance of "Freedom Song."
Following the program, veterans and their families were invited to join us for breakfast in the cafeteria, where they had the opportunity to connect with students and staff.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special day, and to our veterans for their service.
