A Salute to Our Veterans at Coebourn Elementary

In honor of Veterans Day on November 11, Coebourn Elementary School proudly hosted “A Salute to Our Veterans,” a special program dedicated to recognizing those who have served and continue to serve our country. The event brought together students, staff, families, and veterans for a heartfelt morning of appreciation and reflection.

The ceremony began with a welcome from the Student Lighthouse Team, followed by the Presentation of Colors by Dan Hefton and Zack Stanners. Students led the Pledge of Allegiance, and the Coebourn Chorus performed the National Anthem.

Musical performances by the Coebourn “A” Band and chorus filled the room with patriotic spirit, while student readers shared reflections during “Honoring Our Veterans.” Sixth grader Kyle Minko delivered a moving essay titled “What a Veteran Means to Me,” highlighting the sacrifices made by service members.

Mr. Martinez presented gifts to the veterans in attendance, and the program concluded with a special performance by Ms. O’Kane.

Following the ceremony, veterans and their guests joined students and staff for breakfast in the cafeteria, offering a personal opportunity to express gratitude and connect.

Coebourn Elementary was proud to honor the courage, service, and dedication of our nation’s heroes.
